Start Tunning your Yu-Gi-Oh Trading Card Game decks, because you'll soon take on the best duelists in the world - using your Game Boy Advance! Konami is planning a massive global tournament to see who is the best duelist in the world. And even though the plan for the tournament is still a closely guarded secret, it's no mystery what game you'll need to participate in the event: Yu-Gi-Oh Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel.

As in The Eternal Duelist Soul, head to head dueling is the point of the game, but Worldwide Edition has several features that will make it the new gold standard. The single-player game offers a quest through Battle City, a thriving metropolis where seemingly everybody wants to throw down with you. As you duel, you'll points that affect the quality of cards you receive-the more you win, the better the booty. Dueling, and having conversations with other duelists, also advancing in the in-game calendar. It's important to keep ticking off the days, as you can only duel at major events on Saturdays and you'll get fresh cards delivered every Monday in your copy of the "Duelist Weekly." Ass you move through time, you'll also move from neighborhood to neighborhood. New challengers will be around every corner, and their cards are yours for the taking.

You can build a powerful deck just by playing the game, entering codes from actual trading cards or trading virtual cards with your friends via Game Link Cable. The real thrill of Worldwide Edition is competing against friends - even friends who don't speak your language. Worldwide Edition lives up to it's name by giving you the option to play in Japanese, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

Think of Worldwide Edition as the UN's handheld gaming. Gamers from many lands will be as one while they huddle over the tiny, reflective screens of their GBAs. And all of them will aspire to be the world champion, and that dream will become one person's reality.
